Position Title:  Restoration/Cleaning Crew Lead

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Secure appropriate restoration/cleaning supplies and equipment for accomplishing assigned task.  Operate as a lead Technician on the work site, responsible for communication between customer and company.  Oversee daily site activities of assigned Restoration/Cleaning Technicians.  Act as a liaison between customer, work site and company.  Keep necessary parties informed of work progress and any changes to work schedule.  Act as a Restoration/Cleaning Technician to complete cleaning and restoration work.

SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:

Responsible for managing the Restoration/Cleaning Technicians.  This Positon will require managing other crew leaders from time to time as well as submitting to being managed by other crew leaders from time to time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work Supplies Preparation
   1. Assemble for morning dispatch at 7:50 am or assigned time if different.
   2. Prior to leaving warehouse, evaluate work scheduled for the day via daily work report and make sure work trucks are loaded properly.
   3. Meet with assigned Technicians to help coordinate loading of trucks.
   4. Depart warehouse no later than 8:15am.
   5. Ensure the crew goes directly to the assigned job. If there is a need to stop for gas or materials, authorization is to be obtained from Mitigation and Cleaning Manager.
   6. When there is faulty equipment, verbally notify the Mitigation and Cleaning Manager immediately, fill out the maintenance tag and take it to the receipt bin in the office.
   7. Fueling of vehicles is to be completed at the end of the day on the return trip to the shop. All vehicles are to be filled if the gas gauge is at ¼ tank or less.
   8. Review the job production worksheets with assigned Technicians to make sure they understand the work to be done. Train and supervise Technicians on the project.
   9. Review the project number and task code for the project with the assigned Technicians to ensure all information being put into About Time application is correct.
   10. All company provided equipment that is in your care, custody and control is to be kept clean and in proper working order.
   11. Review job status in Restore. Input Job Start if applicable.
2. Work Site Preparation
   1. Ensure all staff is properly logged into About Time- Job number and Task Code.
   2. Meet with customer (if present at site) and explain work that will be occurring that day.
   3. Make sure work site preparation is complete, including covering of all windows, entries, furniture and floors.
   4. Review the job production worksheets with assigned Technicians to make sure they understand the work to be done. Train and supervise Technicians on the project. Review time expectations with Technician for the tasks being assigned.
   5. Ensure that all personnel on project are wearing proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), as determined by the Project Manager.
   6. Communicate pre-work questions or inconsistencies with Project Manager prior to beginning work.
   7. Oversee any removal of inventory to be transported to warehouse for storage and / or cleaning; follow protocol for tagging and moving items.
   8. Maintain a safe work site by keeping it clean and orderly. Cleaning products, equipment, etc. should be kept on a drop cloth on the floor.
3. Technical Duties
   1. Work along with Technicians to complete work as assigned.
   2. Assist Technicians with difficult work.
   3. Inspect work being performed by Technicians, on a daily basis, to assure high quality work. Communicate any work deficiencies to the Technician in a professional non-confrontational manner.  The review is to be completed as soon as the deficiency is found.
   4. Perform training responsibilities, as needed, with Technicians (with respect to products and protocols).
4. Work Flow Management
   1. Maintain contact with customer throughout the day and provide progress updates as necessary, Explain progression of work to keep customer updated on what will occur next.
   2. Never discuss insurance coverage issues with any customer.
   3. Advise Project Manager of work site problems or variances from daily work report.
   4. Advise Project Manager immediately of any company caused damage to customer property; Notify customer of any damage to property.
   5. Inform Project Manager of any personnel issues.
5. Work Completion
   1. Inform customer of work completion as well as show completed work to customer and address any questions or concerns promptly.
   2. Notify the Project Manager of customer complaints that cannot be handled by Crew Lead and Technicians immediately.
   3. If required by Project Manager, obtain signature of customer on a Certificate of Satisfaction.
   4. Give customer QR code to complete survey and explain submission instructions.
   5. At warehouse, make sure supplies are returned to proper storage locations in a clean and operable condition. If there is any damage, follow the appropriate protocol.
   6. Inform the Mitigation and Cleaning Manager of any supply needs prior to running out of supply.
   7. The production worksheets are to be signed and dated by the person doing the work each day. These sheets are to be completed at the job site…Not at the warehouse.  Submit the completed production worksheets to the Project Manager at the end of the job.  Ensure the time sheets include the customer name, date, project number for any temporary help Technicians.
   8. Review Technicians’ About Time information each day to ensure it is correct.
   9. Update the Project Manager, prior to the end of the day, as to the status of the project.
6. On-Call Duties
   1. Follow the on-call rotation and accept on-call duties for a one week period as required.
   2. Respond to after hour calls within the protocol that has been established.
   3. If called to an emergency, pick up the required paperwork and water damage kit from the office prior to proceeding to the emergency location.
   4. Follow protocol of emergency job initiation, including: Taking required photographs, completing analysis paperwork and diagram forms as well as room measurements.
   5. Perform emergency work as necessary to minimize further damage.

7. Other Duties
   1. Responsible for assuring the uniform policy is adhered to by the Technicians; Report any violations of the uniform policy to the Project Manager.
   2. Complete the weekly inspection report for assigned work vehicle; Inform the Mitigation and Cleaning Manager of any vehicle operation problems or scheduled maintenance due.
   3. Submit receipts for gasoline and material purchases to the office on a daily basis.
   4. Record any additional work done, that was not on the original production worksheets.
   5. Refer any communication from the insurance companies and / or the customer to the Project Manager.
   6. Be available for overtime as required by the company handbook.
   7. Assist the Project Manager when needed to perform Job checks at night or on the weekend when you are on call.

1. Timeliness and accuracy of required paperwork submitted to appropriate parties.
2. Efficiency and quality of work from self and assigned Technicians.
3. Communication with customer and Project Manager on work progression.
4. Cleanliness and maintenance of the warehouse, work site, work vehicles and equipment.
5. Quality of work and timeliness of response to emergency on call situations
6. Total customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Employee must have a valid driver’s license.
2. Employee must have personal hand tools as required by the company. List provided at the time of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires standing, sitting, lifting and pulling.
